Prize competition for videos and short-movies about:
“Life hiostory and traditions on the mountain”

The 12th edition of the Film Festival Premio Lessinia will take place in Cerro Veronese from 19th to 27th August 2006.

The Film Festival Premio Lessinia is the most important Italian showcase of movies about “life, history and traditions on the mountains”. This is a unique Festival compared to the many others in this field, because it gives high importance to the human being life on the mountains and to the natural, historical and artistic aspects of the "high lands". For the regulations, videos about mountain climbing, exploration and sports on the mountains are excluded to the Festival.

Enrollments to the competition are open until MAY 31st 2006.

The Festival Awards:

"Premio Lessinia” from the Townhall of Cerro Veronese – Cerro d'Oro – € 2.500.
To the best work of all for its contents and artistic value.

Premio della Provincia di Verona – Cerro d'Argento – € 1.500. 
To the best work that documents and emphasizes the Human beign on the mountain.

Premio Speciale della Regione Veneto – € 1.000. 
To the best work about “cultural landscape of the mountain”.

Premio del Curatorium Cimbricum Veronense – € 1.000.
To the best work that documents and emphasizes the language and the ethnic-linguistic minority culture, located on the mountains.

Premio della Comunità Montana della Lessinia – € 1.000. 
To the best work about the Veronese Lessinia Mountains.

Premio del Consorzio BIM Adige – € 500. 
To the best work about the savegurad and preservation of mountain territory.

Premio del Parco Naturale Regionale della Lessinia – € 500.
To the best naturalistic documentary.

The Festival is organized by the Cerro Veronese Town Hall and by the Curatorium Cimbricum Veronense with the support of Provincia di Verona, Regione Veneto, Comunità Montana and Parco della Lessinia, Consorzio Bim Adige and  Cassa Rurale Bassa Vallagarina.
